Album Notes

John Jeffrey Hodges has been writing songs for over 30 years so it’s no surprise that, with the birth of his son in 2000, he was inspired to compose music in a genre he’d never before considered. KiddyDittys (A Kid’s Album for Adults) is a compilation of songs written by Hodges over the past 8 years. Fortunate to be a stay-at-home-Dad, Hodges continues to maneuver his way through the parental trenches and has translated his experiences into lyrics kids will love and parents will relate to at the same time, but on a completely different level. With influences ranging from The Beatles and Paul Simon to Stevie Wonder and Bob Dylan, recorded with some of Detroit’s most respected musicians, and mixed & mastered by Grammy award-winning artist Steve “Dr. Ching” King, Hodges has artfully combined his love of great music with his profound joy in being a dad. The result is a delightful package of original songs that promise to appeal as much to Mom and Dad as they do to the kids. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself listening to this CD more when the kids AREN’T around. For more information, please visit www.johnjeffreyhodges.com
