Album Notes

Martine Lund Hoel is out with a new album, this time with Nils Jørgen Nygaard, who among other things participated on “Hidden Shore” as a producer and a musician. Together they are Mani Luny. The two of them are handeling most of the musical instruments, and they have produced an album with broad strings and choir arrangements, but also with a close folk expression. The celtic is blending with the exotic and it results in a genre they often refere to as “nordic world music”.

On this album the duo recreates the intense energy from their live appearance, and with their chosen guest artists, Mani Luny Music have again created an unique sound that make a solid follow up to “Hidden Shore”, an album that sold to every continent of the world within two weeks. The album “Distant Call” is both aggressive and beautiful in its entirety.
