NEW CHEAPER PRICE!
2007 is our 5th year since we started this effort with this release "Ho Ho Ho Spice" (then in 2005 we released "Holiday Heart," also available for sale at CDBaby.com). And we would like to sell out. Will you help us? Please buy a copy and tell your family and friends to do he same--THANK YOU!
Our sales pitch:
Hi. This message is about Ho Ho Ho Spice, a 2-CD Christmas compilation of 'alternative-ish" carols to help raise awareness and benefit HOSPICE. If you like artists like The Police, Graham Parker, The Smithereens, Bleach, Brave Combo, The October Project, NRBQ, Better Than Ezra, Chris Stamey and The dB's, then please continue to read this.
Those artists, or members of them, are part of a 2-CD, 49 song collection of eclectic and friendly "alternative-ish" sounds: from folk to electronic noise. As diverse as the sounds may be, collectively, the compilation focuses on highlighting the spectrum of emotions and feelings evoked by celebrating the holiday--from anticipating a homecoming, to the excitement of finding Santa's loot, to wanting the holidays to be finished.
Hospice is a concept of care provided to people in the final months of their lives. This care is brought to any location where the patient resides. The focus is on comfort, but not just physical pain. The interdisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, medical directors, chaplains and volunteers address emotional, psycho-social and spiritual pain, as well. By concentrating on keeping patients comfortable and alert, hospice care advocates for the patient to live life fully until the end.
Ho Ho Ho Spice comes at a time when fundraising has become even more vital to nonprofit hospice programs. The Medicare per diem reimbursement structure established in the early 80's has not been adjusted to the industry changes in the 20 years since. The reality is that the average length of stay has dropped from 30 days to about 15 days and the patients signing on are sicker and in need of more sophisticated (i.e., expensive) interventions. As drug prices skyrocket, a week's supply of the most appropriate pain medication can easily surpass the fixed per diem hospice reimbursement rate.
Projects like Ho Ho Ho Spice help reduce this gap. By purchasing a copy, you'll directly support the care of hospice patients. THANK YOU!!!

HO, HO, HO SPICE
author: Maria GlazenerI found this CD while looking for the Better than Ezra song, Merry Christmas Eve. I love this CD. It has wonderful orginal songs. Even the odd songs are fun. The CD is a great price, goes to a good cause and is very enjoyable!
'eclectic mix of christmas-themed songs' is an under-statement!
author: Darren Rushin, Leicester, EnglandWith only a small handful of 'take-it-or-leave-it tracks (but bare in mind a) there are nearly 50 songs to choose from, and b) with an 'eclectic mix' not every one will suit everyone's taste), this 2 CD compilation is a brilliant diverse mix of heart-warming christmas-themed songs. Graham Parker's 'soul christmas', the brilliant '(I'm dreaming of a) white trash christmas' and the bubblegum-punk version of 'auld lang syne' stand out as particularly cool inclusions. A refreshing change from the usual rubbish christmas compilation! Very impressed!
Great addition to your Christmas CD collection!
author: CindyThis CD is full of excellent new Christmas songs that you will want to listen to over and over. It is two CDs and is a great price and for a good cause too.
A nice change from the usual Christmas music
author: George DIf you are tired of the same old Christmas songs buy this CD. There are many enjoyable tracks and the proceeds go to a wonderful organization.
Great CD for my office holiday ice skating party!!
author: Leinad StreboI found this trying to track down The Butties' "Joy to the World." Since I was on the lookout for some ecclectic music for our annual office holiday ice skating party, this was a real find. Our teenage daughter and my Jewish wife both enjoyed it as well. It's a great antidote to an afternoon of mall holiday music and a must-have for your holiday collection. Oh, and it's GREAT to skate to. I plan to put it on my refurbished iPOD when I hit the slopes this season.
Excellent Christmas CD and the profits go to great cause....HO HO HO!
author: Kay CitronWith 42 Christmas songs, it pleases everyone on my Christmas list. The fact that the proceeds go to Hospice to beneift persons with terminal illness is incredible. So far the music shows spirit, great talent and is pleasing to the ears of all who have listened to it from my 7 y.o. son, my 18 yo daughter to my 24 year old son. Thanks and HO HO HO to you all.
Great new addition to my Christmas music collection!
