Album Notes

Holiday is a high-energy, bounce-off-the-walls, Alternative Pop band based out of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Formed in Fargo ND in 2003, the band-Nick Emmel (Vocals), Steve Osvold (Guitars), Michael James Olson (Bass) and John Kapla (Drums)-took the local scene by storm and created a buzz with their energetic stage presence, witty crowd interaction and infectious pop melodies. Their debut album, Living with the Fallout (2004) quickly sold more than 1,500 copies and garnered regional press and radio attention.
The High Plains Reader raved, "Holiday will have you singing along within a minute of the song."
"The same kind of melodic pop that made Semisonic a huge success," declared the Fargo Forum.
Radio stations picked up Living With the Fallout singles "Absolutely Brilliant" and "Cab Rides and Careless Conversations" and added them play lists throughout the Midwest.
Holiday moved to Minneapolis in early 2004, and quickly gained attention from the local scene. Holiday won the New American Band Competition at O'Gara's Garage, St. Paul and became the Wednesday night house band at Bunkers nightclub in Minneapolis. The band roared on, winning the cities 97 Basilica Block Party Competition, and was featured on the Star Tribune Stage.
To date Holiday has performed more than 350 shows across the United States in support of their album, including opening dates for Everclear, Violent Femmes, Semisonic and Better Than Ezra.
The New Holiday album "Fashionably Late" has earned huge reviews in the media, and has gained the Holiday lads a whole new fanbase. listen to the songs, buy the record, and then email the guys so you can be a part of the fun.

I bought the CD from CDbaby and I like it.

I bought the CD from CDbaby and I like it. Only time will tell if it holds longevity for me. The songs are poppy - like pop rock! which is fun and good for a change of pace - enough of this depressing b/s we hear so much of lately! (the lyrics are always the last thing I'll listen too. Maybe I'm wrong about it not being depressing.) Another listen is in order - and many more!
