This album may be primarily acoustic, but it's lyrics, raw production style, and rock oriented guitar playing and singing give it some serious attitude.
It was purposely engineered to give a live-like feel. Many of the songs are not recorded to a click, and the editing has been kept to a relative minimum. The resulting outcome has been an album that is extremely organic, personal, and real.
To top off the already special vibe that these songs give, there is an undeniable atmosphere that permeates the tracks throughout the album. An atmosphere that many have said reminds them of the early Seattle grunge scene, which makes one wonder if there's just something in the Washington rain.
