It makes the kid happy!
author: JAF
I bought this for our 7-month-old (i know, he's too young to really get it, but I still try to be careful about the language he's exposed to) and turns out he totally loves it. I guess he's going to be a fan of bluegrass! The songs are witty, catchy and short --- perfect for a kid.

The Hollow Trees Rule!!
author: Janet Jenkins
Listening to the Hollow Trees new CD has been one of my favorite
pastimes since getting my copy. I’ve found myself dancing around
the house, and humming along when I have it on.
I’ve enjoyed listening to the band’s reworking of old
favorites(Polly Wolly Doodle, Shoo Fly) as well as the original
material. The pace of the songs is so infectious and upbeat one is
either tapping their toes or truly dancing and prancing to the tunes.
Hey if you don’t dance then the whipper will (gotta love those
lyrics)!
We had a 7 year old visiting today and she literally danced up a
storm and complemented us on our musical taste as she and her parents
were making their exit.
My favorite song is Nelson…such a great visual picture of this
funny animal with emerald green eyes wearing someone else’s socks!
I could go on and on…the band are all really great musicians, the
songs are fun and it feels like the musicians are really having fun
too…if I had to use one word besides fun to describe this CD, I’d
say infectious!
Thank you Greg and Laura and Rick and Dave and Molli and Taylor,Sam,
OS, Matt, Kelli, Sean,Michael, Michelle, Xander, Traci, Dillan, &
Nelson!!!
The cover illustration is extra cute also. Hollow Trees rule!

The Hollow Trees make me smile and dance
author: Jon Fojtik
I love this album so much I'm buying ten more and passing them out to friends. Songs range from bluegrass banjo two steppers to romping campfire singalongs. Every song is kid friendly and totally engaging. "Nelson" has these amazing harmonies that drift along like a train whistle. "The Little Engine that Could" takes me back to the days I would sing this very song, and reminds listeners to never give up despite any disadvantages. "Bunny Hop" isn't the song you think it is (this aint the famous Wedding reception version, oh no...). Incidentally, when the kids join in and make animal noises, its just too darn cute for words. I think I'm gushing a bit, but these Trees are one of the best bands out today. This CD is for adults who still are connected to their youth and for kids of all types.
