"Now I know what the angels sound like!" This is a shared sentiment of the many fans of Christina Holms.
Christina Holms, Soprano is an up and coming concert artist with a fresh lyric coloratura soprano voice and she is currently a student of the prestigious Arthur Levy. Christina has released two albums, Love and Lamentation and My Soul Doth Magnify The Lord, which have been especially popular in Greece, Italy, Spain, Malaysia and Mexico. She has been enthusiastically received by audiences in both the United States and Europe and critics have lavished praise upon her.
Christina warmed audiences in Shelton, Connecticut as the opening performer for the Al Martino show. She has performed for such celebrities as First Lady Laura Bush, Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson, Dr. Maya Angelou as well as Yogi Berra.
Christina has been the featured soloist with The Mendelssohn Choir of Connecticut, including Summer Sing’s Carmina Burana. She also was a featured soloist in Fanfare Consort and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church’s production of Messiah.
In addition to public concerts and fundraisers, Christina has appeared in several private concerts in New York, Missouri, Washington, D.C., and Connecticut. She was featured with the great tenor, Roberto Iarussi at a recent tribute by Mayor Bloomberg for Italian American Heritage Month at Gracie Mansion.
In October, 2007, Christina appeared in concert as the featured artist at the Stratford Theater. She was accompanied by Douglas Dickson and her guest artists were baritone, Edward Parks and violinist, Artemis Simerson. She was received with thunderous applause and glowing reviews.
Christina has been singing ever since she was a young girl. She began in her church choir where she discovered that she had the ability to pray in a different way...a more profound way...through song. In addition to being some of Christina's favorites, she considers this album a special tribute to her faith in the Lord.
