Album Notes

This is the second release from the fantastic band from Ukraine which interleaves Celtic folk influences with the speed riffing and technicality of death and black metal. Originally released only in Ukraine, Bombworks Records has made this incredible CD available for the rest of the world to hear. This release features more Celtic influences and more melody than the first release, with a heavier emphasis on integrating the flute with the heavy guitars. The musicianship is pristine and is simultaneously beautiful and heavy. It is also an enhanced CD, including as a bonus the video recorded for the incredible song "The Spring".

CHRISTian folk metal is a dream come true and my very favorite kind of music. I love the sounds HOLY blood is making but I just wish you would drop the silly screaching and stick to deep rich melodic vocals, if you did you would be the best band I know of. Arvinger, Crimson Moonlight and other excellent CHRISTian metal bands have the same problem, they have a very good deep voiced manly singers but you hardly hear them, instead you hear constant screaching vocals. The music of Holy blood, Arvinger and Crimson Moonlight is the best I have heard in a long time but the screaching brings it down a notch.

if you like great folk black metal, with cool tunes, with very different type of singing I would check this out! The entire cd is great! This is in the vein of Skyforger! If that helps any to describe the sound of this band!

I found out about this band a few years ago while surfing and was simply amazed with their songs. This album is perfect! This is folk metal the way it is meant to be played. I often find it difficult to get people interested in this band because folk metal could be very cheesy if not done properly--but the folk and the metal are blended seamlessly in this album.
