Here is an excerpt from an AP story on our winning the 2007 IWCoRM Rock Trials:

Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Honchie was named the 2007 International World Champions of Rock Music winner last week.

"We’ve been training for months,” explains lead singer Krause, “fortunately everything really came together at the Trials."

The IWCoRM Rock Trials, held annually at venues around the globe features the world's finest rock acts. Rhineland's very own Lazer won the 2006 IWCoRM trials.

“Lazer think Honchie make good, strong beats,” said Lazer-rapper Hammel. “We proud to hand over golden rock trophy.”

Based on performance skills, stage prowess, and overall rockitude, Honchie swept the trials this year.

“We also sold 12,043 tickets at $22 each,” adds Honchie-guitarist Pafford.

In addition to performing an unreal eight-minute set, Honchie proved to be the IWCoRM’s leading grosser, earning the foundation $264,946 in ticket sales.

“We’re all excited to get back into the studio,” said Honchie disk jockey T-Lark.

Along with winning the stunning IWCoRM gold-painted trophy, the band was awarded studio time to cut a full-length album under the IWCoRM moniker. They were also given 1,000 copies for a greatly reduced price and a 13/87% licensing and royalties deal.

So what does the 2007 IWCoRM winners plan to do with their sudden fame and fortune?

“Don’t know yet,” admits drummer Allen, “probably take the kids to Denny’s.”

Twisted Honchie Madmen Hit Gold!
author: David Handy
Honchie tells it like it is. If you can't take the heat then get outta their kitchen! This second album shows that the first album wasn't their last. By the time you've run through to the final ending track, entitled "Totally Awesome" (the last track on the album) you will feel like you've been through a beautiful journey of comedy and brilliant songwriting. Clever hooks and catchy phrases exist throughout, especially on the brilliant "Hangover" (don't try to tell me you've never been there) as well as the awesome track "Broken Livered." Get this and you will not be kicking yourself with remorse, you'll be patting yourself on the back with praise.

unless you're a religious fundamentalist, buy this cd!

Honchie is completely ridiculous. If you like great comedic lyrics mixed with mad rock licks, you'll love this cd. I like their earlier cd "Deathfists of Rage" a bit better in that it has more variety of lyrics and music stylings, but songs like (I wanna put my penis) "Inside" (your vagina) are not to be missed. You can't regret a purchase like this, and if you ever have a chance to see them live, well... get ready for weeping, orgasmic joy.

Hochie is not only hilarious, but they have great music to back it up. Quite a variety of styles too! I still think I prefer Deathfists of Rage, but this is still a great CD!
