In this arrangement, Denagan Janvier Honfo combines his roots as African composer and musician with his longstanding experience as teacher of music groups and African dance classes. As an artist living in Western Europe, Denagan has also acquired a growing competence in music therapy in a stimulating and touching way that gets us into internal and external movement.
Movement deep inside oneself, feelings, emotions... are what is reflected in the rhythms and melodies of Babalola. Sometimes exciting and expressive, sometimes peaceful, nearly hypnotic, but always touching. These sounds stimulate our ideas, imagination, fantasies and let each of us get into deeper contact with ourself.
This CD is especially suitable for warm-ups, body work and therapeutic settings such as yoga or meditation groups. It is also enjoyable for those who simply want to dance and feel like moving.
