Creative and laden with potential

Hoodigneous offers some beats here that are cleanly produced and that own potential. If given a larger budget, I do believe he could go further. The beats cry out for real instrumentation, rather than programmed. A hybrid of live instrumentation - especially drums, piano, and keys, could really make this glow. Hook and his crew are a team of talented lyricists, innovative and honest - very tangible. Ain't about the bling bling but about the real thing. Not really negative in any spot and definitely not violent, Hook seems approachable both in his story telling and in his vocal. I would have liked to see a little less vocal overdubbing and effects here - sometimes it gets a little muddy- but the ideas are solid. I would love for him to pull a band together and record these live at a venue or something then add in the synth stuff. I also heard the same beats played more than once (or very similar) in a few places. Perhaps making different versions of this album would solve that. But that only happened twice. Fun hip-hop all the way!!

Hook brings some nice sound on this album here. All original beats and concepts, I think this guy can take the game to another level with the right push. Some of the sweetest concepts Hook brings on Octopia are his personal tracks that deal with his dream of the industry, a single parent friend, and how you have to inspire yourself sometimes. My man is nice with the rhymes and I like the fact he does his own beats too. Looking forward to hearing more from him.
