Along time ago, a rusty old car in a field on a Liverpool housing estate dripped oil into a small puddle of rain water.

Over a number of months, the oil began to bubble and heat up.

Months later, the car was struck by lightening in a freak thunderstorm that destroyed all the houses on the estate. The carbons in the air mixed with the oil pool and created an oily slim that took on a human form.

But anyway, we digress, we are from Liverpool and we have been making all kinds of music for quite a while.

In our present incarnation (of which there have been many...) we follow our instincts and produce the music that is the soundtrack to our lives.

We enjoy making it and we equally enjoy listening to it. We often perform on stage with various extra members of the band because they like to listen to it to.

We have avoided all the record companies because we don't fancy having a huge debt to a group of people we would NEVER go for a beer with.

Hence the name HOONOSE.

To the British "music industry" we are an enigma, they have all tried to contact us, many have tried to sign us but they have no idea who we are, where we live or where we will play next.

Until now, supporters of the music are the only ones who have had CD's, the only ones to be told about our gigs and the only ones that know who we are (although not our names...)

We have chosen CD BABY to sell our CD's because they also have an enigma about them and we think this should work a treat.

If you want a band with glossy posters, signed photos and band paraphernalia then go elsewhere, we just make and perform great music that speaks for itself.
