ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
***** VIST THE SITE! ***** HOONOSE.COM ********

or http://www.myspace.com/59319237

HOONOSE are essentially a two piece, but often a three piece and sometimes a seven piece band, ensemble, variety act who like to do things abit different and aren't really bothered about the consequences.

We like to sing about debt, monsters, depression, enormous crocodiles, world peace and trees growing. We'd like to live in a better world / time but have to be content with this pile of faeces that we live in now. We don't like the super rich and we don't like the fact that some people starve to death.

We think the world will end (as we know it) pretty soon and want to float like leaves on the river of life.

We tread carefully in some areas and stomp our feet in others.

We are shrewd schizophrenic fightened giants who walk elevated from the surface of the earth and many leagues below the sea.

We are contemporary and old school, nice and nasty, friendly and aloof, good and bad, cheese and pickle.

We make music that WE like to listen to, we sometimes create music that doesn't fit into pigeon holes and we like this the best.

We create rock tunes that urge you to sing along at the top your voice and feel the incredible energy from opening your lungs.

We construct songs that make your body move involuntary to the music.

We thread together emotional epiphanies to help you realise that the journey is still taking place whether you're physically moving or not.

We're the band that you've always wanted to hear since the day you realised that the human race had taken a wrong turn a LONG time ago but everyone was too scared and frightened to say anything.

We are the saviours of the world and the victims of it at the same time.

We are just like you really.

The end.

Wonderful!
Buying books in Hay on Wye was hardly the place I expected to hear such beautiful music! Amongst the tranquillity and the atmosphere of people bustling and absorbing the words of books they have never heard of, I heard a sound that I was unfamiliar with. Your guitar was almost inaudible as I walked up the street but the voice found frequencies and spaces within the molecules of the air to gently serenade my ears. It was almost like a snake charmer playing the secret notes to trance the cobra!

How come I haven't heard you before!!!
Every so often you come across something that strikes you even though you were not looking. This is one of those moments! BRILLIANT!

VoodooChild

Brilliant.
Brilliant. Every track is great, although in my opinion it would have been better to finish the album with 'disguise', without the last three songs (mainly instrumental), which are not needed. Great stuff, buy it!

I've enjoyed listening to Waters Deep and currently have four cuts from it playing on my iPod (and believe me, the competition there is vicious--even though I've got a 60gig player, I maxed out its capacity long ago). I have a large and eclectic home music library, in part because I always believe in buying artists' albums in order to support their music-making efforts. Best of luck to you.

Quite remarkable!
I often look around for new albums on CD Baby and try to find interesting varied music. After I listened to all the clips of this album and decided to give it a go. When I got the album i expected to listen afew times and then put it in my collection but it hasn't left the CD player! It sounds like one of my compilation albums that i often make up for a long drive or journey, except that these tunes / songs are my new favourites that i had no knowledge of before. The album really does explore a wide range of styles but somehow the band has it's own style that keeps you listening.
If you like good music then this album should DEFINATELY be in your collection!!

My new favourite album
Keep it coming HOONOSE, you have some wicked songs!

A rocking raw sound with a haunting voice you'll keep coming back to.
This cd starts off with raw emotion that will hook you quickly. The guitars (some songs electric/some acoustic) and beat are catchy but in different way, not something you'd hear from one of those new alternative clones on the radio. Many of the songs have a folksy yet mello feel. The lead singer's voice is haunting and unique, and matches the music perfectly. Like relaxing in a hammock on a warm summer day, this cd will have you coming back time and time again.

Tree hugger!
Hey! it's me! Simone from 'under the tree' in Bath! You guys made my night! Still got my shaker, haven't dared to open it though! Great CD! Thanks!
