Carla Van Hoose is deep in the "Americana" music movement of today. Her repertoire dips into bluegrass, folk, blues and a little rock and roll for spice are stirred up and delivered to you by her soothing contralto voice.
Her special sensitivity to song selection of material from Kentucky's talented songwriters as well as nationally known composers captivates and inspires audiences. Singing from the heart and making others feel what she feels in a song are the highlights of her performances.

The sound created by Carla Van Hoose and On Time is to music what comfort food is to Mom's kitchen. Singing from the heart and making others feel what she feels in a song are the cornerstones of Carla's performances. Her unique song selection dips into bluegrass, folk and blues. "Old Times and Memories", her debute album, has been heard on radio in KY, MO, CA, Connecticut, WVA and parts of VA, PA and Washington D.C.
"Kentucky Home", Carla's new release, is by Kentucky composers and about Kentucky life. It is being played now on WUKY, WRVG, WRFL and MSU NPR. She is joined by fine Kentucky musicians like Gerry Gillespie, formerly Kathy Mattea's bass player, James Moore, Kati Penn, Raliegh Dailey, Ben Sollee, Warren Iulg and Paul D. Williams in showing a breath of styles which typify her performances. James and Gerry now perform with her frequently as do other talented musicians.
