Album Notes

Vacancy is Hope Horner's second album of original material. Hope is a singer-songwriter based out of the Los Angeles area who has been writing songs, stories and poetry for over 20 years. She is a published short story writer, but her true passion is music.

What type of music is on the album?
"This album features a mixture of folk, rock, pop, and country. This album has a more "organic" feel than my first album - a more stripped down, rootsy sound featuring acoustic guitars, violins, harmonica and piano all played in more a live "one take" type of session as opposed to being overly mixed. The music on this album is diverse - there is something for everyone to like here, I hope. I am a songwriter first and foremost, and enjoy a variety of music styles, so my music reflects that diversity. I don't really feel the need to stick to a particular musical style. I just write what I hope is a good song, whatever the style. So this album features a variety of sounds and instruments that I hope others will enjoy."
