Album Notes

Meet Horace Riley

A native of South Carolina, Horace grew up in Florida in a family that was musically inclined. They formed a band which kicked off his music career. They played various night clubs and backed up artists like Joe Simon, Betty Wright and Chic Willis. He was very much inspired by his father who was a jazz piano player.

Some of the artist and musicians he admires are, Earth, Wind & Fire, James Brown, Larry Graham and Herbie Hancock. This CD has a flavor of latin, jazz and funk. He would like to inspire musicians to incorporate all instruments into their compositions.

Later on in life, Horace committed his life to Christ and to the mission of evangelism. He started his own church in 1997 and recently added a professional recording studio onto it for the purpose of evangelism.

He likes all music of all cultures and hopes one day to compose a World culture CD. He hopes that this contemporary gospel jazz CD will be appreciated .
