Album Notes

This is a hard swingin’ big band CD in the style of the Rat Pack featuring the Hornheads backed by a world class rhythm section playing great arrangements.
-----------------
When I think of the Rat Pack, I think of entertainers at the top of their game, hanging out having a great time, and sharing it with the audience. To me those Rat Pack shows were all about enjoying the company of friends, laughing and having a party.

But personally my favorite thing happened when they stopped clowning around and started the music. The arrangements were swingin’, the band was cookin’, and Frank, Sammy, and Dean had the crowd in the palm of their hands.

My hope is that this music captures the essence of the Rat Pack when they ruled the entertainment world and the Vegas Strip, celebrating a time when enjoying the company of friends was a priority.

makes me think of a pryor gig

Can`t help thinking about a gig I did with Dave (Jenson) in summerset for a High School reunion. It was ah, drunk, out that night. I really like your playing and am glad to be alive to hear it. JFORSEEN
