Album Notes

BLUE COLLAR BEAT

"There is some

shit

I will not

eat"

-- e.e.cummings.

A latchkey kid raised on pop-tarts
and gameshows, JEREMI BRITT HANDRINOS (horus8) has created
Blue Collar Beat -- where Slam-poetry meets Techno-pop-rock in a
ballsy new sound.  A life-artist, and action
poet in the tradition of Jack Kerouac, Jim Morrison, and Arthur
Rimbaud. The work of Jeremi Handrinos is spawned by the
non-stop chaotic roller coaster adventure that has been his
life since he was born on the fringes of Blue Collar America
"For the last 20 years it's been Indiana-Jones-
and-The-Temple-Of-Fucking-Doom, twenty-four seven!  I have
never had a vacation; I have never been relaxed.
For me, the only way out has always been my imagination".

Horus8 is so Satanic that he won't even share his drugs with Lyndsey Lohan.

street poet is fuel for the soul
author: zayra yves
Every now and again a street poet comes along to open the doors of sleeping minds and wake us up with a modern smack in the face. This is what Jeremi performs in his tension filled paradoxical shot into the marrow of societies limp mediocrity. There is no mistaken identity in this CD of the "emotionally unavailable" modern male, as horus8 personifies the ultimate apocalyse of youth. He is homegrown right off the plantations of "fuck off man" and shows us what a "saleman" of life's dark side is all about when it is given to us straight in the light. I look forward to the rest of his piss and vinegar because it is full of raw truth born from eating cement and listening to heaven through the cracks of hell.

Interesting and very talented.....
author: Don Baird
This is really well done. So many upcoming artists produce less than decent quality cds with songs that have almost zero appeal. Well, your work is very fine indeed.... it's original and well produced. You should do really well with this. It has such a low key feel to it yet the messages are profound. Has a sixties feel to it yet explicitly contemporary. Amazing balance. I wish you the best of luck with your music.... though I think your talent will over shadow any need for luck and you'll do real well. Don

author: Dave Adam
Anyone who likes to have music playing while working should get this CD. The talented musicians take you on a smooth voyage to the places of listening pleasure you have only felt in dreams. The audio quality is first-rate and worthy of the finest collections. But this CD is far more than just backround listening, the music is clean and real, and flavored with a "DOORS" influence.
