Album Notes

Bio-
Hostile, a four piece band hailing from Porterville,Ca., bring the heavy back into the metal music scene. The band's old school death metal style attracts new school listeners as well as creates an air of nostalgia for the rock days of old. Sharing the stage with likes of Armored Saint, Hostile broadens its fanbase with every performance. They've come a long way since their formation in 1997 from playing house parties in a small basement to playing the Sunset Strip. Their style spawns from heavy Pantera, Sepultura and Slayer influences. They play. You listen. That's how it goes at a Hostile show. Enjoy.

My expectations from the bands logo was 'rap metal' but I was wrong. I would put them in the metal catagory by the display of the music on the demo. The disc gives a good taste of their musical talent and what the band has to offer. The first track "Tweaker Rage" is my favorite track and is fast as fuck with guitars plowing and drums pounding. Fuck, I have the lyrics in front of me and I still have problems figuring parts out. The other offerings are much more toned down. The vocals still stay brutal as shit, the guitars still have catchy hooks...they are all well rounded songs. These young guns are worth a listen. Go to hostile420.com and check them out."
