Album Notes

formed in a small farm cellar in the outskirts of ohio's amish country, these boys were soon ex-communicated from their village for using electricity. it was from then on that their only goal was to travel through the cities of america and spread the word of a sound they call barncore.

the name 'hostile omish' has been synonymous with cleveland punk for over fifteen years. with three national tours and two major releases, they have steadily become one of the area's most talked about acts. it is their live performances that speak for themselves. the chance to get up on stage and churn some butter is something you do not want to pass up!

although they have had a few lineup changes, the three brothers, filth, ddrddmd and skwid, have long been the backbone of this project. one day while drag racing their buggy through the countryside, they stumbled upon a lad hitchhiking in the pennsylvania dutch region. having committed one too many sins to stay with his village, he was banished. from then on, aimlet was dubbed the newest member of the group. now with the musical lineup back to a four piece, they are about to unleash their third major cd (released via jib machine records), appropriately entitled "as the world churns". you can also find more music and more bios about these lads at www.barncore.com or www.myspace.com/hostileomish.

If you were a fan of the now famous One Horse Power... you will not be disappointed. As the world churns is all the TUDE as one horse power but with better production. The guys have found there place in my changer and wont be leaving for a while. Do yourself a favor and buy this damn cd. Jib Machine Records is the most promising new lable out there. So far no shitty releases buy them all or the Demon and Angels cd for a taster INDY over and out

Proud to feature the infamous Hostile Omish on FatCat Radio. If you're a fan - you know that these guys deliver the goods in a truly one of a kind way. Ain't gonna waste the space trying to describe the band or its sound. I'll just say that they have never SOUNDED this good before on record. Stand out tracks include 'Bedford Is Burning' 'One More Hooker' and 'Subway (the Parody)'. Nice job boys - may your butter never curdle. Well worth the wait...new barncore delivers the goods!

A longtime Hostile Omish fan; an even longer fan of punk music! I grew up listening to Suicidal Tendencies, Vandals, Smiths, Dead Kennedys, and Black Flag. I first saw Hostile Omish in the early 90s when they opened for Circle Jerks. After a few pretty cool releases, these boys have finally got it! This cd was well worth the wait...the new barncore delivers the goods! Who's All Going? is straight forward old school punk with an updated twist. Mohawk and Bedford is Burning should do well on college and sattelite radio, two songs that sound like they were ripped out of the Epitaph catalog! Subway will probably end up on a commercial real soon (mustard or mayo!) As for the rest of the tunes, all I can say is SOLID! Even the bonus demos are super catchy and singalongable...Highly recommend this one! Greg G.
