HotChaCha has been touring incessantly over the past few years and their
over-the-top live show has earned them a reputation as a "don't miss" live
show. Mixing elements of post-punk, dance, and new wave, HotChaCha
creates a entrancing and engaging environment that balances the delicate
and the forceful. Creating a reverb-soaked atmosphere as if the XX were
the Runaways but here, the drive and immediacy is palpable and dramatic.

With Summer People, one gets traces of painfully beautiful blues, erratic
punk, and even rhythm-heavy salsa, recalling traces of the Cramps with a
Nick Cave delivery. Each song relays a powerful, often huge sound, and a
memorable hook each time despite the genre exploration. The array of
unique vocal melodies, ranging from wild howls to haunting chants, paint
vivid lyrical scenes that create a cohesive fabric for the band's
aesthetic.
