Real, honest, touching crafted pop
author: Brent Roberts
This is a great EP. I first found Hotel Lights on cdbaby and downloaded their debut album frmo iTunes and now I am hooked. I find this EP to be more of what I liked in the first place. They conjure thick moody melancholy like my favorite band, The Blue Nile, with slightly more traditional alt-pop arrangements. Here's to many more years of Hotel Lights. Brent Roberts

If you like Hotel Lights' first album, you'll love this EP.

This EP largely follows the band's main album sound, with the same soft, full beautiful melodies that stroll along with a surprising pace, albeit with some subtle stylistic tweaks in the sound. The entire EP is fantastic, from start to finish, and to anyone who enjoyed Hotel Lights' first album, I'd highly, highly recommend grabbing the EP.

Darren Jesse's music moves me once again.
author: Ben Smith
I have always been a big fan of Ben Folds Five and began searching for more music from their members since their break up. I came across ex-drummer Darren Jessee's band, Hotel Lights and purchased their debut CD a while back. I loved the sound, lyrics and emotion behind the CD and wanted to find more, which brought me to "goodnightgoodmorning". This EP delivers all the same great music plus more that their previous album gave, which is a benefit of owning this EP. Thank you Darren Jessee for playing a pivotal role in my development as a drummer, songwriter and musician.
