Album Notes

Hot Little Rocket are five years old and finished teething; the best rock band in Calgary and not content. They play post punk to bait hecklers and fire up teenagers; they rock and roll against boredom and standing still. They only ever crashed one minivan. Since their self-released debut EP Laika, Hot Little Rocket have Played eight provinces(PEI and Newfoundland still pending). They can stun a packed house in Vancouver or Toronto, and play just as hard to 20 kids in a Masonic Hall basement in Mississauga. The strength of the songs and hectic performance caught the attention of Winnipeg's Endearing Records, who released their debut, Danish Documentary which charted 14th on the National Campus Charts. Hot Little Rocket's second LP is an energy-filled blast from start to finish. Starting with the melodic and complex indie rock that informed their first record. They have somehow injected it with a dose of organic rock and roll: one part Drive Like Jehu, one part Love.
