Album Notes

Hot Rooster is a soupy blend of brothers, college friends, Orange County Soul and Gallus Domesticus Burlingtonus. The band was formed in October 2003 after Kevin and his bass arrived from Venezuela. In response, Vern and Leland got back in the groove, and Rodney was resucitated from a Lazyboy induced stupor. It was a Blues Brothersesque mission that rekindled old friendships and started new ones. Once together, the band's focus quickly became original, homegrown funk and roll. In 2008 funky mo-fo's Paul and Joe joined the band and provided an infusion of funkin' energy. Hot Rooster has hatched over 50 original tunes in the past five years. Each new tune seems to take the vibe to a higher level. We look forward to sharing the latest with you all, and hope to see many of you at gigs in the near future.
