Sue Wilkinson:
Pony riding English Protestant Convent girl.
Secretary, model, (sorry), wrote first song at 6, wasn't hit. Group "Hollywould", (3 girl satire/swing), duo "Pure Gold" (boy/girl...Sue girl), "Punkettes", (2girl), then solo.
Major hit l980 "You've gotta be a hustler if you wanna get on" staying 8 weeks in charts after being banned by BBC for being too naughty, good press tho. Five minutes of fame then 'wooosh' another evil record company story too horrid to repeat, resulting in the indignity of being a "one hit wonder"...(yet three albums waiting in the wings).
Breakdown, depression, recovery..... onward.
Worked live at clubs, tv and radio performances and continued to write. 32 other cuts. Hits "Victim of the Planets", Germany, "Women Only", South Africa, "Toy Boys", and "Kiss me not him", England, "All over my Heart" Australia.
Moved to Music City Nashville TN in 88 to write for publishing company. Wrote lots more, few cuts, no big hits. Started working for Radio station WRLT Radio Lightning, first being ID voice (still is), and then on Morning Show and producing and presenting interview music show. Still performing regularly as comedic singer actor.
Moved to LA in 96. Got deal with CD "Mood Swings" but company folded before release!
Breakdown, depression, recovery..... onward.
Now performing satirical show in L A with fab glam cast and looking for money to get demo video made so it'll get on tv, or HBO...got any?
Continues to write scripts, songs, card idea, just finished book, on and on...blah blah...hope is eternal!

Keep it short? I'll try.
I've been sharing this with a few female friends and they really like it. I find the mix of musical styles fascinating, current and very well done! There is a LOT of professionalism but Sue is having fun here too. Eclectic yes but lots going on here to keep your attention. Hope that came out right! Lyrics are packed with story telling, insight, opinion and rips at dating, love, life, etc.
Wish the liner notes included info about the musicianship and production help. It is very well performed and mixed. I'm a guy and I really like it. Hmmm, what does that say?
