Album Notes

Powerful Fantasies

What began as a little girl’s interest in pirates and princesses, became, in the hands of her talented composer and pianist father, Powerful Fantasies. To be sure, there are pirates and princesses, but there are also, Ogres, Elves, Dragons, Castles, Witches, and a Troubadour.

These 26 fantasies will carry you away to a Misty Island with mermaids, clouds, and Neptune himself. You’ll meet The Royal Navy and hear the sailors dance on your way to the lost world of Atlantis.

As you approach the castle, beware of the gnats and bats, and witches dancing. And of course, there will be a dragon! When you cross the River of Time, you’ll hear the horsemen and the wild horses. Its all in the land of Once Upon A Time in the country of “If”.

Settle in for a journey full of contrasting moods from the crashing chords and driving rhythms of the whirlwind to the dazzling music of the fiddler and the troubadour.

It’s all done on a solo piano, played by the master of Power Piano, Howard Pancoast.
