Musician, songwriter and composer Howard Ray does it all on his freshman album. His \"in the pocket\" funk style bass entices listeners and other musicians to hop on and go along for the ride with these smooth upbeat funk jazz arrangements featuring the sax of Leighton Kennedy, and guitar and piano of Jay Frigoletto.
Howard began playing drums in Junior Highschool and switched over to rhythm guitar before moving on to bass.
Howard was influenced in the 70\'s by groups like, Slave,
Confunkshion, Graham Central Station, Brothers Johnson,
Earth Wind and Fire, Mandrill, Sly and The Family Stone,
and the Ohio Players, to name just a few, and thought that funk bands would never die, but was later influenced by the sounds of David Sanborn with Marcus Miller. After learning that Marcus had written much of David\'s material, as a fellow bass player Howard became hooked on writing.
Living in New England, Howard is best known as the founder of the popular North East band Decades By Dezyne.
Feelin It will be initially released and distributed independently through Howard Ray\'s independent label
The Neighborhood.
