Since marrying Stan Freberg in 2001, Hunter has become one half of the team applauded everywhere. The new collaboration in song is the first of a series of albums.
Hunter was a psychology major at the University of Southern California and a music minor at the Thorton School of Music at USC. Her marriage to Stan Freberg has been called "truly a match made in comedy heaven". She brings a baby boomer's view point to these songs. She is now an ASCAP writer, along with Stan. Hunter is primarily known as a humorist, entertainer, and keynote speaker. Her audiences have numbered in size from 150 to 5,000 and have ranged from top Fortune 500 companies to world-wide associations. She was a Vice President and associated with two of the world's largest executive search firms. What are the odds of someone being named Hunter and being a "Head Hunter"? She followed the executive search career with one in television and radio, answering viewers questions from around the country. Her no-nonsense, breezy, on-target style has even taken center stage at The Improv in Los Angeles.
Now, a few words about the other half of "Two Funny Frebergs". Stan Freberg is a Grammy winning, legendary Capitol recording artist, satirist, and advertising icon. As one of the founding Board of Governors of NARAS, The Recording Academy, he personally created the word "Grammy". His albums and CDs have sold millions, reaching multi-generations of fans. He has had a lifetime career as a voice-over artist for Warner Bros. Cartoons and Walt Disney. He helped create the Emmy award-winning children's program "Time For Beany" (Beany & Cecil). There was no humor in advertising before Freberg. He is the recipient of 21 Clios --- the Oscar of Advertising and has been called "The Father of the Funny Commercial" by Advertising Age Magazine. Freberg has been inducted into The Radio Hall of Fame, The Animation Hall of Fame, and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Sci-fi icon Ray Bradbury, actors Tom Hanks, Billy Crystal, Clint Eastwood, and Sir Anthony Hopkins, director Steven Spielberg, Beatle Sir Paul McCartney and John Lithgow are but a few of the legions of Freberg fans.
