Hugh Moffatt, a Nashville singer songwriter, is a troubadour of the first order, whose literate yet simple, sincere, and understated style has had a tremendous impact on audiences here in Holland. The Dutch Country Music Association and Holland's Country Gazette have selected Hugh Moffatt as the top International Acoustic Act of the Year in 1992 and 1994. Since the mid '70s, Hugh's songs have been recor ded by top country and bluegrass artists such as Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, Earl Scruggs, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, John Starling, Jerry Lee Lewis, Conway Twitty, Ronnie Milsap, Alabama, Bobby Bare, the Nashville Bluegrass Band.
