Eric Hungate combines a soulful singer-songwriter approach with a bluesy, tongue-in-cheek singing style on his debut album Just Another Day. This upbeat, thirteen-track album is sure to inspire fans of jazz, pop, rock and “old school romance”. In his unique way, Hungate sings about love, life in modern times and the complexity of human relationships. His emotive singing hovers smoothly over elegant instrumentals, but Hungate is certainly not afraid to reach down deep and let it all hang out.

The album was recorded over 10 months at Figment Studios in Austin, Texas, with co-producer and mixer Rick DeLellis. “Although some tunes have a young innocence that connects with the feelings of first love, the music is mature. Intelligent.” DeLellis said. Hungate recruited well known and seasoned Austin musicians for the recording, including “Scrappy” Jud Newcomb on electric guitar, and Cindy Cashdollar on lap steel/slide guitar.

Hungate hopes to release Just Another Day in late Fall 2006, with an official CD release party in the works. He aims to promote the album to local Austin music fans through advertising and targeted radio exposure.In addition, Hungate will make Just Another Day available on the web and at local Austin record stores.

With its distinct vocals, inspired songwriting and complex arrangements, Just Another Day’s jazzy “adult-oriented indie pop” will surely pique the interest of sophisticated music listeners locally and beyond.
