Album Notes

Hungry Mother was formed by Billy Smith and Kip Gaudette, in December 2002 as both a creative outlet and to promote their music consultation and recording business: InterVibe Recordings; Mood Tree Productions, located in Pensacola, FL. They have been busy writing and recording ever since.

During the writing phase of their third CD, Billy and Kip decided that a huge ingredient missing in their music was Mitch Hull. Mitch is considered one of the best percussionists today. His quick feel and hands, and his attention to detail have earned him studio and live performance work all over the U.S. Mitch is now a part of Hungry Mother!

A few months passed, and as CD production continued feverishly the urge for HM to perform on stage started to burn. Billy and Kip decided to reach back into their past and contact former bandmates Mike Owens and Rusty Gwaltney. Mike and Rusty are great musicians in their own right, and because of their involvement future Hungry Mother is excited for future creative efforts.

Hungry Mother is now complete and many feel HM has a unique sound all its own. They’re just beginning to break the music scene wide ass open! So please, enjoy their third CD effort called Scream Therapy. Why? Because a little Scream can feel so good!

**ATTENTION** Hungry Mother's third CD, Scream Therapy is currently being played on XM Radio. If you are a subscriber send an email or call and request a HM tune to be played. Stations currently playing the CD are Squizz -- XM channel 48, and Unsigned -- XM channel 52.

Maybe you're not a XM Radio subscriber? That's ok because XM and AOL offer a free web radio, and an enhanced premier radio offering available to AOL members at no additional charge. It is also offered as a premium service to consumers through the AOL.com® web portal.

But, now you say you are not an AOL member, fair enough. Squizz -- XM channel 48 is channel 835 on your DirecTV menu.

So many ways to get some Hungry Mother jams.

Review of Dust & Sand

The performance in general is impeccable, with all band members carrying their weight admirably. There are absolutely no weak points here! The song is memorable with lots of hooks but doesn't have even a hint of 'triteness' about it as a result. Clever songwriting indeed. The production more than matches the songwriting and musicianship for professionalism. Everything is mixed well and I love that wall of sound you've achieved. This track gets the highest marks I can give. It's truly a diamond in the rough and deserves to go straight to the top of the Garageband charts! Well done!!!
