Album Notes

George Hunter is a healer of Mohawk Descent who began singing to himself as a child. As he entered his teens, he was invited to sing in a Native drum group called the White Pine Singers at Cornell University. This led to George sharing his voice at different gatherings, and later he began singing in his healing work after finishing his apprenticeship. This album was born from the spontaneous songs that came to him while doing healings on the people who sought his help. Each song has a specific intention as well as inspiration from the artist's life. In his own words:

"While this is a solo artist release, there are so many voices on this album. From the little boy who grew up on Haven Lane, to the wise old Native Medicine Man in me who connects me to my indigenous ancestors, to the messenger who brings a message of open and new horizons, to the old woman who walks with me as if to keep me on this important path. I allowed my inner feelings to come out in this debut. I see it as medicine for those healing themselves, as a guiding voice for your journey, and as an inspiration to have your own relationship with peace."
