HUNTER: English with Caribbean ancestry. Music artist and choreographer, releases his first album after a long pause for artistic reflection. The new album makes a clear statement towards a Rythm and Blues style of modern Reggae.

IT’S GOT TO BE YOU is the first single to be released as it offers the vibrant energy that Hunter got himself fame with. It is just one of 13 songs that proves he has reached musical maturity and is now firmly focused and committed to his musical direction.
The journey to produce this unique collection of songs took him to Kingston Jamaica and the studios of the world famous SLY & ROBBIE, getting creative in the birthplace of Reggae and taking inspiration from the spirit of the young people in the ghettos in Kingston.
Above all working together with the youngest offspring of Bob Marley - STEVEN & DAMIAN MARLEY !! – has been an invaluable input into Hunter’s musical confidence.

IT’S GOT TO BE YOU is a collaboration with an interesting upcoming artist of SLY & ROBBIES, CALIBE, who served her apprentice in the pop business by touring as lead female vocal with BEENIE MAN and KEVIN LYTTLE. The rapport beween Hunter and CALIBE was instant and IT`S GOT TO BE YOU was written in one sitting. The recording however took a little longer, with some done in Miami, some in Jamaica and even some in Hamburg during CALIBE’S tour. The result was worth waiting for and represents their joint talent and passion for this new musical style.

The album uncovers an authentic co-production with Hamburg producers on the one side and the legendary rhythm twins SLY DUNBAR & ROBBIE SHAKESPEARE on the other.
What Sly & Robbie loved most about working together with Hunter wasn't just his huge potential as a musical and performing artist, but Hunter's band. On the showcase in Hamburg's Waagenbau (an insiders music club), Sly couldn't resist but to sit in on 2 songs and play drums. After the show he said ' Man! You have such a tight band here!'


On the album next to DAMIAN & STEPHEN MARLEY are some more surprises featured.
SUNSHINE GIRL, an original by Steven Marley, released only in Jamaica and brought to Germany on vinyl, raps one of the great masters, Capleton.

URBAN WARRIOR is an unsurmountable argument in the current music field, good songs, high standing and experienced artists, hand-made music. Its refreshing and will without doubt get the upper hand over the numerous superfluous plastic pop creations that are here today and gone tomorrow.
