gloomy and beautiful, likes to burn in slowly. many gentleness
author: rachel, (china)
Two females, has the delightful blurred sound, has fills the sense of reality the voice. Hush Collector sets up in England, small and clean seashore city. Their music, their singing sound, also just like the sea breeze, lightly, lets the person unconsciously compare on both eyes, urges the person to go to sleep. Two person of perfect busy vocal duets, dense fog dim atmosphere, gloomy and beautiful, if the dream lingers the
note, is clean from time to time, from time to time makes noise. The perception also is moved, likes to burn in slowly "the" cloud... Hush
Collector, the song if, the silencing, the silencing, so is so exquisitely
attractive.. Perhaps their music, can cancel you to the mazzy star recollection, they have another kind of flavor, was short to absorb
person's sadness, many gentleness...

excellent - both genuine and compelling at the same time
author: Mike Spall - Southscene
" Damn it, I’ve had this CD a little while now and only just put it on. Hush Collector are excellent... it’s so refreshing to suddenly discover something that straddles both genres but also manages to be both genuine and compelling at the same time. Soft, lilting acoustic grooves. Lullabies and subtle bombast abound throughout. Title track ‘Flowby’ is excellent. ‘Mountain Song’ takes on a haunting, ambient journey. The instantly memorable Poppy Gonzalez (is that her ‘real’ name?) and Katie Mummery sing with that same whimsical charm as Kim Gordon and even Dido. ‘It Don’t Matter’; like Portishead writing a soundtrack for a Paul Thomas Anderson movie and ‘I Go Blind’ with the lyric, ‘we’ve got something special’ couldn’t be more apt".

Delicate girl voice, a very nice effect.
author: Evil Sponge
There are a ton of musicians out there who never get the spotlight, but that doesn't mean that these individuals are less talented. In this light, consider Hush Collector, a band consisting of Katie Mummery and Poppy Gonzalez who has been a background musician for such noteworthy acts as Mojave 3 and Sing-Sing. Here they step into the spotlight, and do it well. Flowby is their debut EP, and it carries on in the light, country-influenced folk music that Mojave 3 have mined so well. Here they do four songs of their own.
This is pleasant stuff. You should check out this EP. Delicate girl vocals... some scattered pianos and overdriven guitars...pretty tunes - A very nice effect.

a pinch of blues, a touch of class and a little shoegazing ...
author: Marcus Pan
...a pinch of blues, a touch of class, a little amount of shoegazing, hiding behind a folky mindset in a chilled-out background...I do like melancholly and well-written lyrics.
...The songs are smooth and well laid out and only minimally processed. Recorded live to tape quite possibly and not messed around with too much by so called engineers giving you something you didn't sound much like the way it started. It's very honest...Slow and chilly, Hush Collector treat their music with respect for what it is and not what it could sound like in a million dollar an hour studio. If you've ever seen any of the Corona commercials - the couple on the beach, kicking back, ignoring the cellphone, watching the waves - add a few instruments and that's a Hush Collector recording session - Matter of fact, Hush Collector is an excellent name for their sound.
