Album Notes

Diamond Cut Platinum Ent. (D.C.P.E.) introduced the "A' State Hustlers" to the world in October of 2003 on its "Gone Shine" compilation cd (tracks: 1,3,4,5,6,8,and 10). In July 2004 D.C.P.E will give the world a full dose of what the "A' State Hustlers" have to offer with their freshman cd " Think It's A Game".
The "A' State Hustlers" consist of Leodis Cochran ( Phat-so tha Don), Antwan Williams ( Big Dolla), and Errol Westbrook (E-Dubb). Phat-so being the senior veteran artist of D.C.P.E. has been working with the label since 1999. He and Big Dolla are former members of D.C.P.E.'s first group Kode Red which due to complications was dismembered. Phat-so and Big Dolla remained with D.C.P.E. during its restructure, during this time they were improving their skills and working on solo singles and group singles. In April 2003 E-Dubb was signed to D.C.P.E., at this time recordings for "Gone shine" had already begun and Dubb jumped right in to fill any voids that needed to be filled. Phat-so, Dolla, and Dubb began working together on the compilation and it was obvious that "A' State Hustlers" was destined to be. Each inspired the other to tap into a part of themselves that they had not yet brought forth in their art.
All of the "A' State Hustlers" are Little Rock natives, raised on the Westside, who've known each other from their childhood. Each of the "A' State Hustler's" is a veteran of these Little Rock streets representing individual results of the struggle. Their freshman and highly anticipated group project "Think It's A Game" is due to be released in July 2004.
