Album Notes

Fresh talent from the fair city of Perth, Scotland Ben Hutchison-Jack has been playing, performing and recording music almost all of his life.
Still a youngster at 22 years old he has completed an HND in music performance at Perth College and has been involved in numerous musical projects varying from samba to heavy rock, enabling him to travel all over the country and beyond.
Currently playing with both local and international artists and bands he has been writing and recording his own material which is becoming very popular in the local scene.
Influences include Ry Cooder, Neil Young, Little Feat, Jack Johnson, Xavier Rudd and anyone he has played with in the past. His songs are those of life, love, loss, the good, bad and unknown. Using mostly acoustic instruments (Guitar, Dobro, Banjo) his songs are heartfelt, honest, and when played live he can capture a wide audience of eager listeners.
His playing ability and vocal melodies come straight from the heart, putting every ounce of himself into any performance no matter how big or small it may be.
Mainly accompanied by acoustic guitar, bottleneck or Dobro his playing style has been compared to Ry Cooder, and the songs are honest and heartfelt.
All the tracks on this demo have been recorded and mixed in an old top floor
townhouse in the centre of Perth.
If the recorded material appeals to you then come along to a show and really feel the music, as there is always something for everyone.
