Hyaline has again produced an excellent CD. Still like blend of sounds...guitar, flute, violin, others. The sound is still very tool-like, with some serious lyrics...if you like the brooding, heavy sound of the last one, you'll like this one, too. Lots of good harmony on it, also. Perhaps a little less of the Evanescence sound, but perhaps more of a unique Hyaline sound developing. The band sound is definitely evolving, and expanding some. "Misdirection" is a prime example of this...haunting, flowing guitar and flute with drums that are almost tribal..has an almost celtic sound. Definitely a CD I'll listen to again and again. Timko's singing is also improving by leaps and bounds (not that it was bad to begin with), and the production on this one is greatly improved over the last one (although it wasn't bad on the first one). Good job, Hyaline! Worth waiting for, but try not to make us wait quite so long next time. :-)
