ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
HYATARI is an audio/visual venture conceived and executed by guitarist Mac Walker and bassist Chris Tackett, formerly of Huntington, West Virginia artists CHUM, and electronic composer/DJ Brett Fuller. Blending elements from metal to noise to psychedelic, the HYATARI project “attempts to challenge genre specifications while retaining a cohesive yet expansive foundation”. Their sophomore effort "They Will Surface", continues on in the same vein as "The Light Carriers", yet also shows HYATARI has matured as a band. There is a new sense of melodicism to offset their sonic earthquake signature. HYATARI may invoke many different styles, but they never clone. Influences run through their own filters, and they leave an unmistakable handprint on everything they touch.
