A Truely Musical Adventure!
author: Joyce McNeil
This CD is fantastic! A definite must have! The singer has a superb voice and the music will "hook you" from the first song through to the last. There is NOT a bad song on the CD. Extremely well written songs to blend in with any mood in which you may find yourself. I found myself often "moving to the beat" -- ranging from "upbeat" to a "bluesy jazz" to "toe tapping" to "holding your honey close".
Listening to the CD is a real treat indeed. I know I'm
going to tell as many folks as I can about the CD!

Hydraulic Woman raises the bar -- Impressive, energetic, filled with raw emotion
author: www.kweevak.com
Glad Game is the new release from Hydraulic Woman fronted by singer, songwriter and rhythm guitar player Kristen Schuldt. Six other talented musicians on guitars, bass, drums and harmonica join her. Glad Game is a commanding blend of rock, blues, acoustic and electric. Kristen's vocals are a spectrum of highs and lows, power and grace; she can sing with a hard edge or a sweet, smooth flow. Kristen’s songs capture a variety of moods that are conveyed through soulful guitars, balanced bass lines, steady percussion and textured vocals. This nine-track collection is masterfully produced with vocal blends that brilliantly create the illusion of harmony with just Schuldt. All the songs are energetic and filled with raw emotion. ‘Wait’ opens with stark blues laden guitars, a steady sexy beat and questioning vocals that are a hook from start to finish. ‘Hard to Say Goodbye’ also starts with striking guitars, a solid groove, and expressive vocals that have a sugary edge. Instrumentation throughout is impressive and the band has lots of synergy. Hydraulic Woman raises the bar and Glad Game powerfully captures the highs and lows of this rocking blues band.

Catchy, Well-Crafted, Memorable Tunes
author: Lori L. Lake, Www.lorillake.com
This 9 song set contains a range of songs all crafted from a variety of musical influences: blues, rock, soul, and pop. The cd starts out with the knee hoppin', finger-poppin' "Bring It On," a funky, rock-based romp. It ends with the more mellow "Late At Night," an upbeat song with a slightly dark tinge to it. In between, we are treated to pop songs like "Go" which could surely play on mainstream radio, "Hard To Say Goodbye," a bluesy rocker, and "Dez's Song," which is a reflection on whether to let go and love--or leave up the walls all around.
The vocals are clear and gutsy, sung with depth and range. The lead guitars and harmonica are particularly fine, with all the musicians doing an excellent job supporting the lead singer's smooth voice.
This is a cd you'll return to, over and over, and I give it my highest recommendation.
