Album Notes

Hydro grew up on Toledo’s rough eastside. He was 14 when he began his rap career. Hydro was encouraged by David Bush and the Madd Poet Society to join their group, the very same year in 2000. Being part of the group was difficult at first, as Hydro was the only white member in the group. The time spent with Madd Poet Society allowed Hydro to expand the ideas in his lyrics, by becoming more aware of the surroundings of poverty in which he lived in front of the Weiler Homes on the Eastside. Hydro was first heard back 2001 when he released his first single "Glamour Grammar" that was funded by a grant from the city of Toledo. Hydro was introduced to Diabolic, although they had known of each other through mutual friends, but not as rappers. They bonded immediately as a group (2-45'z) and he was a key contributor to the Homicidal traditional, rugged, white-boy, street sound. There has been plenty of beef generated on the eastside for his lyrics but it has slowly deteriorated as he has attempted to put it to rest. Hydro has been studying the Free Masons, and other Illuminati interests, which have been reflected in some of his lyrics. In the spring of 2006 Hydro met Steven Everhart, President of Glass Manacle Records, while performing at a show in Toledo. Steven had heard of Hydro from others in the Toledo rap scene, and decided to purchase a copy of his cd. The two spoke briefly about possible future business opportunities with Hydro joining the record label. A few months later Hydro contacted Steven, after breaking up with his former group and recording label. He began taking steps to join Glass Manacle Records, as the first rapper. Hydro officially signed with The Glass Manacle Records Co. in October of 2006. He is finishing up work on his first release with Glass Manacle titled “Transition” which should be out before the end of 2006.
