Album Notes

Classical and New Age

\"Romance\" and \"A Classical Guitar Christmas\" are both CD\'s deeply rooted in classical tradition. Yet, the Christmas CD also includes a Steel String Guitar played by Ken Soderlund.

The CD\'s, \"Between Earth and Sky\" and \"What If\", are heartfelt and moving adult contemporary music for flute and guitar which is reflective and unfolds in a variety of moods. Contemplative and intensely captivating, this music evokes a primal quality which captures and releases the imagination.

In their music, Michael and Adam draw upon a rich array of styles and traditions. Their early classical training provided the foundation for subsequent musical endeavors. They have performed concerts as a classical duo throughout Europe and the United States. Over time, their musical interests have expanded to include Irish, Flamenco, and Latin influences, among others. By incorporating elements from various traditions, Michael and Adam create a unique musical landscape which ranges around the globe without losing sight of its classical home. Michael and Adam compose music in a spirit of cooperation that comes across in all of their compositions. Personal and heartfelt, these pieces convey a sense of connection and unity in which the listener can take part. This is music to live and breathe with, to bring into one\'s world with repeated listenings.

I purchased this for my wife, Glenna, because of the second piece on the CD, "Mists of Glenna". She was not disappointed and neither was I. Beautiful guitar work; very intricate playing.
