Album Notes

GLOBALINGUA Studio Voodoo's STEREO CD recreates sound environments from around the world, from Swahili bonfires through operatic reveries to flamenco passion plays, woven together by a chord of heart-throbbing techno-tribal beats. Within Studio Voodoos music is embedded the unification of diverse cultures in a sound Mraz calls the "ancient future". Each mix, or "ear play", celebrates the ultimate ceremony and sacrifice of life.

Mike Simpson (Dust Brothers), producer of such artists as Beck and Carlos Santana says "this mix rips your head open!" Stewart Copeland (The Police) states that "Studio Voodoo is in my personal top ten playlist." His own field recordings of African tribal chants can be heard on the final mix of the track "Fire." Chris Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails) says, "slamming groove, cool vibe, monster mix. This is the future of music."
