Not having heard of this artist, the cover made me curious. "Tumbling Down", opened my ears and drew me in. What also came to light was the fact, Iain Mclennan wrote, recorded and performed the whole thing. A cohesive everlasting album. Add this album to your collection as it is timeless.

“ FAITH”
First a ‘ phone call and as promised, “FAITH’ a new CD arrived.
The caller, an old friend, writer-guitarist Iain McLennan. Those who saw him play during his years with Ross Wilson, Mike Rudd, Richard Clapton, Stephen Cummings and others, won’t be surprised at the quality and intensity of his work today. The searing honesty of his lyrics and voice, and the melody lines that support them, could only emanate from someone who has done it hard but is not about to complain.
The tracks “Faith”, “Fallen”, “If you walk away”, and “Mama”, all different in feel make compelling listening, as does the CD itself.
In the end, “FAITH” tells us a lot about McLennan and perhaps many others who made music their life on and off the road, and paid a price – it’s all there “on the page”, but without bitterness or self-pity. Quite the reverse. “FAITH”, the CD conveys to me anyway, a sense of arrival, peace and accomplishment. McLennan is a rock ‘n roll warrior who has once again made his mark.
Congratulations Iain. I won’t wish you good luck with “FAITH’ . If the web site response is any guide, you won’t need it !

A Sight For Sore Ears
author: Toronto Tribune
How many years has it been? The answer is two. That's two to many. Wading through new releases is not an easy nor at times a pleasant task. Then, bang, a voice and melody. Lyrics that are heart felt and to the point. Each track on this album conveys not only hope but bases hope on action. No poor me, she's gone baby. Be it a love song, as in FALLEN and my favourite LET'S GET DOWN or the haunting ROCK ME. Iain Mclennan has a quality and character that endures time. For me to label it's beauty and power would be deceiving. The music is of high quality with tight arrangements. With each listen I got a sense of the man. His versatility as a musican places him amongst the world greats. Have a listen.

iTunes Australia. What a great album..Thanks mate!
author: James Glintey
This is easy. iTunes hit Australia. A friend of mine had Faith on his iPod...First of all I listened to previews of the album, downloaded Rock Me which by the way is characteristic of the whole album. Lyricaly each song is complete as if written as the artist is working his way through many situations. What I like most about all the material is the positive, optomistic feeling it generates. No self pity, just a question here or there with great melody and rhythm. One track Love Can Set Us Free, gets me up and moving as do many of the others. Faith the title track is life itself is all encompassing and is a personal favourite. This is no religious album. Spirtual Blues...this album will be around forever. Each time I listen I find a new feeling plus Iain Mclennan is not only the writer performer ..he recorded the whole thing and played most of the instruments. Check out the web site www.oinkmuse.com this guy's got great photos and actualy replies to email... A+
