IAMISEE: “I am I see, I am what I see”. IAIS is hip-hop; coastlines, old or new school, underground, mainstream or any genre that has caused the dividing and conquering of our culture, do not confine him. Asking where he was, or how old he was, or how he felt when he first discovered hip-hop is futile. He has never stopped discovering hip-hop; hip-hop is how he feels in the morning, the hardships and triumphs of each day, and the last prayer he says before he lays his head down at night. Like the art form he embodies, he is ever changing, serving as the proverbial mirror reflecting the truth of the world around him with the unparalleled lyricism and beats that have taken a lifetime to perfect. IAIS career is the state of hip-hop; his truth, his music, cannot be compromised. Perhaps that seems contradictory in a world where bling-bling is on its way to being defined in the Oxford dictionary and ‘rap’ singles litter the Billboard Charts. However, like Jazz and Rock before it, Hip-Hop has been confused with the glitter of its poppy counterpart. When confronted with this paradox of art versus mainstream, IAIS responds eloquently: “It’s culture versus process. If you look at the evolution of music over the course of history, technology has changed everything. It’s not just about the record anymore… you have the music video taking first priority. Image is everything and it has clearly diluted the quality of music being released.” Should he ever be able to break into the mainstream, IAMISEE would undoubtedly be the voice of real hip-hop crying in the platinum and diamond encrusted wilderness. When it all comes down to it IAIS, or hip-hop itself, cannot be given an interview or have a bio to establish the roots of existence. If you want to know IAIS, or if you want to know hip-hop, the advice I give you is this.... Listen to the music. ©2006 Sister7/IAMISEE

Nice to hear something fresh

Highly recommended. Not an instant classic, but damn close. This album is well put together, thought out, and the beats are incredibly catchy. They're not overproduced with any pointless vocal mixing or background yelling nonsense.
True, straight hip hop. I usually don't buy cd's in this digital world, but I would've paid 20+ for this one.
Get it.

You would buy this CD after already having a burnt copy
author: Adumb
Dude produced most of the tracks himself. The cuts and scratches are mad critical. He's got some nice vocal samples that fit on the track. He's precise with the hooks. Not much bragadoccio or cliche 'I'm the illest' type junk. He puts some nice multi-syllables together. It was inspirational, because I haven't heard something this fresh in a while. Sounds a little like Rakim. Sounds a little like Yesh from the We Be Foolish crew. Just good beats, rhymes, and cuts to stimulate your medula stem.
