what a nice groove these cats creat together.
i only have one regret . . . . sadly they are in ohio and i'm in Los Angeles and can't producing them over the internet...they'll have to come out here

Reminiscent of the late great Wes Montgomery...

On MUCH TO HIS DISMAY - Ross is stretching his growing chops in a seven song disc mixing originals such as the basic walking bass line of Sam's Blues and the breezy Latin groove of Ethereal Plane, which features a tasty trombone solo from Scott Forney.
Ross also flexes his arranging muscles with a cool, laid-back medley of the standards ON GREEN DOLPHIN STREET, YOU STEPPED OUT OF A DREAM, with Herbie Hancock's DOLPHIN DANCE. He's still learning and finding his voice but his use of octaves and chords in his solos are reminiscent of the late great Wes Montgomery.
