Ian McGregor Smith is an artist of amazing diversity. Whether it be conducting a full scale music theatre production, or leading his own Smooth Jazz ensemble he can be found at the helm creating wonderful music. The music from the Freedom CD is categorized as Smooth Jazz but has African and Latin influences as well. As a keyboardist Ian draws his inspiration from Bob James and Joe Sample while as a singer from Al Jarreau, and many others.
Freedom is purely just an enjoyuable CD.
