With this release, the main influences of the composer - Mediterranean music, Baroque, late 60s/early 70s psychedelic music and new wave rock - are apparent. The ensemble of 6 violins and 2 violas is joined by classical saxophone, voice (singing in Catalan), piano, mandola and guitar, in four compositions that are both melodic and rhythmic.
Ian Stewart is a multifaceted British composer who has worked in many different musical styles, both acoustic and electronic. His compositions have been performed in many countries and performed on radio, in addition to being used on television and in films.
