Iconoclast is all about originality and redefining traditional conceptions of what constitutes a song. They deliver powerful and poetic lyrics supported by driving, melodic, and original musical arrangements. Iconoclast accomplishes this by using combinations & adaptations of each member’s vastly different musical background to add new dimensions to their sound.
Iconoclast formed in 2004 when the members met through mutual friends and have since turned “the waves it has been making in Ottawa's burgeoning alternative rock scene into a tsunami of recognition.” (The Algonquin Times – April 2, 2004)
For Iconoclast, the live show is the thing. Their high-energy and interactive live performances have been described as “escalating rock mayhem” (Ottawa Citizen - June 8, 2006) and greatly reflect the intensity of their music.
