Album Notes

Hailing from Glasgow, one of Scotlands premier cities, come five guys who have been around the music business for many years. Writing and playing only original material, they would like to think of themselves as pop writers with a lot of influences from acoustic rock sounds. Having had a taste of success with their own label - publishing deal, extensive airplay around the UK and Europe, gigging in and around the capital - the early excitement was muted as reality bit, families were started and the cost of living forced one of the main driving forces of the band into leaving London. Fast forward 13 years and the band are back together; just as a recording outfit, at the moment, using the web for collaboration. So, where better to promote and make available the results of this reunion than the web itself? The band are perhaps what might be called 'Old School', 'Adult Orientated Rock', songwriters from another generation. Thanks to new technology, it is possible for all those concepts that were valid way back when now to be realised - making strides into worlds only 'Star Trek' used to explore! 'Identical 2 One' have always been believers in independent music, and in the late eighties had their own record label and did all their own promotion; though they had no advances from record labels they did get some attention. So the band always saw this as a chance thrown away. Now, it is with great pleasure and with a great amount of dedication and sheer hard work that, finally, 'Identical 2 One' can present to the world a record they feel really reflects the passion they have always felt for music.
