The Ill-Mo Boys play hard-driving, sometimes subtle, and often whimsical, old-time music that sounds as if it has re-emerged from an earlier era, the Golden Age of hillbilly music that reached it's zenith in the mid-1930s. Of course, Geoff Seitz's fiddle drives the band, with Cousin Curtis's intricate mandolin keeping pace and Jim Nelson's guitar holding it all together.

The band had been playing together for 15 years at the time of this recording in 1999, and during that time made appearances on both coasts and many points in between, throughout the Midwest and South, at folk and bluegrass festivals, fiddlers conventions, coffeehouses, weddings, radio shows, square dances, dance weekends, and old-time music camps.
